I'm liking the Norge, but don't know a lot about Guzzi. Mainly about reliability and the ability to work on as DIY since dealer network is sparse.

I had an '09 Griso. I only put about 5000 miles on it, but had no issues other than a faulty sensor for the speedometer that was replaced under warranty. With the engine mounted longitutinally it sure looks like they'd be easy to change the spark plugs on or adjust the valves. I like that they have automotive style clutches and shaft drive, too. I'd recommend a Moto Guzzi. Mine got a ton of positive compliments. They're much more interesting and unique than say a BMW.

I rather have a bike which starts every day.

I owned an Italian bike many people never heard of. It was an Aprilia Shiver 750 I bought new. It was a total POS. It took forever to get fixed when it was under warranty as there was a never ending parts shortage.

I had a Guzzi V7 and never had a major issue with it. It really was a great and unique riding bike. Valve adjustments are easy and it had the least amount of maintenance of any of my bikes. If it had been a tad bigger I would have kept it. I also have owned an Aprilia and mine was dead nuts reliable. So your mileage may vary. I think when Piaggio bought both Guzzi and Aprilia it helped their parts supply and reliability. Just because I didn't have any problems doesn't mean that you or anyone else won't get a total POS.

Like I say, it gave me no problems. Unless your motorcycle is your only vehicle, I'd rather have an interesting one, rather than one with some perceived reliability advantage.

I had a Moto Guzzi Breva 1100 and my wife had a Breva 750. No issues with either bike. Maintenance is super easy. We replaced our Moto Guzzis with BMWs - a R1200RT for me and an F800ST for her. The BMWs were more sophisticated with ABS and electronics. We loved them but my wife always missed her Moto Guzzi.

Italian bike reliability/build quality is about where the Japanese were in the early 90's as a whole.

If you are not near a dealer, I would look around to see if any independent shops will work on them before buying one.

The best and most reliable Geese are fuel injected V1100 series of Basa, Stone, Jackal, EV and all the Sport series. Fairljy generic fi system without o2 or any feedback closed loop nonsense. Simple pushrod valve adjustment every 10k and oil changes as needed and you are done for the year. The only goofy thing is the oil filter inside the oil pan that gets changed every 10k miles. As far as parts goes, fi parts are generic webber and can be had from MG or your local Harley dealer or autoparts emporium.

Ive got 6 Guzzi V11s in the stable with a Duacti MTS1000ds and BMW R1200 GSA. Guzzi dealer since 1987 now retired.
