From those photos, they both look like they'd benefit from some TLC on the exterior (clay bar, quality polish and finish).
IMO, if you want to consider this part of the used market, the first thing you should do is locate a trustworthy independent service shop that will let you hire them to perform a pre-purchase inspection on any candidate vehicle.
While you can find plenty of opinions that any well-maintained M-B with less than 100K miles is just getting started, the older ones do embrace the philosophy that scheduled maintenance actually happens, parts that wear out are replaced, etc. A good indie shop helps you avoid what the M-B forums often refer to as, "Stealership rates."
