So what, if it lasts 6 months you got your monies worth 6 times over.Challenge of Amazon and eBay are the fakes …..
I have used many Duracell batteries in the past and NEVER had a leak....I think that any name brand will work just fine...No need to overthink this....Go with Energizer. Stay away from Duracell which eventually leak.
Just buy a larger pack of Amazon brand and change every year or so. Maybe longer if not keyless start.

Yep...every battery in the ten pack of the Toshiba 2032 batteries that I bought from eBay tested at 2.86 volts instead of 3.0 volts when new. They had an expiration date of 2029, but are likely counterfeit. The first two Toshibas died after ~4 months in the key fobs, so I bought Energizer 2032s instead and threw away the fake Toshibas.Japanese brand, price is right, but these are from China and are possibly knockoffs.
Hopefully a quality and lucky battery that is not leaking.10 years on the battery in my car key fob, and going

Agreed. I don’t think these button batteries leaking is even close to a common issue. Never heard of it happening and suspect the post is conflating with lower end triple a, double, c and d cells and other batteries that are prone to leaking. Is there even something liquid inside lithium ion batteries?I've never had a 2032 leak, only AA Alkalines
The only button size batteries I have ever seen leaking were LR44 batteries. However, LR44 batteries are constructed with alkaline chemistry, not lithium ion, so that is not surprising.Agreed. 17 years of Panasonic on a Toyota Matrix, then I pulled that 2032 out to replace a crappy KTS or something "made in Japan" garbage CMOS battery in an Acer. KTS might be made in Japan, but it's spec'd to SUCK.10 years on the battery in my car key fob, and going
Not sure what brand batt I have in Kia fobs but both are used basically daily past 10+ years and are still original.
I'd say anything brand name Japan or Swiss made.
Who sells them that are genuine RENATA Swiss made? I could never find a source that sold the real ones I could trust. All the Ebay and even Amazon listings are sold by third party sellers and about all counterfeit.Renata is a well-respected maker of button cells for watches and hearing aids. If they make a 2032 I would give it a try.
I bought some of the Renata watch batteries from Amazon three weeks ago. It was sold by Premium Batteries USA and all the batteries were genuine Swiss manufactured Renata cells that tested fresh at 3.18 volts. So I can vouch for that seller based upon my very recent experience.Who sells them that are genuine RENATA Swiss made? I could never find a source that sold the real ones I could trust.
