Most irritating TV commercial on now?

The Tena Intimates Pad commercial. When the woman starts meowing and clawing at the mirror, I want to do my Dustin Hoffman imitation and yell "Mrs. Robinson!!!"

At the top of my list is the GMC commercial where people are singing while carrying tailgates across a hill. Clever scheme by GM and others though: Make the trucks so ridiculously high off the ground that you need to buy 1) running boards, and 2) a tailgate step to actually use the truck!

Next up would be the AT&T girl using a tight blouse and big boobs to sell AT&T phone service. A once proud company that has gone to hell in a handbasket.

The Liberty Mutual one where a guy in a hot dog stand is selling wet teddy bears.

A lot of streaming has no commercials. With Hulu you can pay a few dollars more a month and get no commercials.
The one with the "struggling actor" was great!

As for getting no commercials, we DVR just about everything so we can fast forward though them, at least for the time being.

How about all those car lease ads that don't tell you the amount down required, or the $599.00 "doc fee", or that its for 24months with 10K mile allowance.

except in microtext for 3 seconds.

Who wants to lease a car for $179/mo with $5899 down?
Yeah, the whole idea of a lease is "no money down other than first payment up front." Just about any other lease works that way, for example, office furniture. Even my car dealer sales guy says it's stupid to make a down payment on a leased car. He's a little unusual though, having worked for the same dealer for 7-8 years!

The commercials where tax cheats get their federal tax liability cut by 75% or more. My retort is, if you owe the IRS $$, what are you waiting for? Pay it. If you paid your taxes, the feds wouldn't be after you dork.

At least VW was promoting "just sign and drive" for ages - a little bit after Fahrvergnügen !

I did mine the easy way for me. Just applied my trade value to a prepaid cheap lease and drove a car for 2 years - no payments.
Not cheap, not expensive - but easy.

My mother's bank Wells Fargo at the time caused her a massive tax liability (over 20k) due to them depositing a qualified insurance product payout into a non qualified account. Couldn't back it up, The bank would not admit to their error. I was somewhat responsible as I was directing the deposit into a CD but I didn't direct the type of CD. Her financial advisor doing the deposit should have known better. They set the Insurance product (variable annutity) up. This was all happening during the Bank failures.

Some IRS regs and rules are just ridiculously cumbersome and are real traps, then trying to fix a mistake takes massive work and paperwork.
But I agree if you are knowingly avoiding paying taxes and the IRS comes knocking - pay up if you can. The Feds have to waste your money - and they need a ton of it.

Any commercial on your local version of MeTV or COZI TV
Comforting expensive nonsense for boomers to piss money away on
Reverse mortgage the house away will ya
And you wonder why you ain't getting grandkids 😏

I dislike nearly all car dealership tv commercials. However there is only one non irritating car dealership commercial that i enjoy watching. That one comes from a used car dealership in Baltimore. If you can beat their challenge, you get no down payment.
If you remember that commercial on YT, it's time to take some Advil for your back 🤣

The best thing to come out of Maryland short of John Davis and Motorweek 🤣

OOOOH MY!!!!😍
Lilly 1.webp

All Commercials irritate me.
I've noticed commercials today have so much noise and music blaring that it sometimes drowns out what's being said, it's very obnoxious. I'll just hit the mute button ... how's that Mr. commercial maker for getting your message across when the sound is on mute? 😄

You may be too young but Cal Worthington was king in the day.
