So I get a NEW and IMPROVED Paypal Plus Credit Card for my business. Since a portion of my business, and my hobbies deal with the web and eBay, I figure I may as well have it all at my fingertips. One thing that will be really nice is to just pay the monthly balance on the credit card off from my interest bearing Paypal account.

Well guess what? You can't do that....call me an idiot for assuming......now how stupid is that? They aren't even related....other than perhaps Paypal gets a good cash flow from Mastercard, and Mastercard gets more accounts..........but my sinister side says Master-freaking-Card doesn't trust nasty new dirty boy Paypal!! Oh you can transfer money from your bank account to make a payment, you can mail them flipping cash from a robbery or send them a check that doesn't bounce too high, or just let the balance pile for 19.XX%......but by G0D they won't take a e-payment from the namesake they bear!!!!!!!!

Don't blame MasterCard, they don't issue the cards, their member banks issue the cards.

So the blame goes to the bank Paypal is teaming up with to issue the card.

MasterCard just provides the network, it's the member banks who make the decisions such as card terms, credit limits, as well as process the payments.

The banks settle up with each other several times each day on the MasterCard network.

yeah, I see that ad for a mastercard from paypal everytime I log on. I've thought about it too, since my wife has an ebay store and 99% of our business is paypal transactions. but I guess we will just keep our paypal debit card. we use that to buy business supplies and pay for shipping. thanks for the heads up on this, just another way for them to get ANOTHER CC in our wallets!

I have one of those toxic blue plastic cards in my wallet.

In my (limited) experience, that is the root of the problem. I don't believe GE Money takes electronic payments from any of their issued cards. We had an account at the local plumbing store when we were building our house. It was through GE Money. The discount would have to approach 50% next time for me to open an account with their name on it.

I can accept that, but it seems non-sensical unless it was pure money deal, why PayPal would do business with a company you can't "paypal"

......

I'm going to cancel the card now, what a PITA.
