Does any body know who make Mopar Motor Oil?

A year ago, i stopped in my local Mopar/Chrysler dealer, for a car part, and saw the oil advertised thier, for sale in quarts. Came in black botttles. I asked them, who made the oil. They didnt really know, but they seemed to suspect it was pretty much the same thing, as regular Quaker state dino.

The US license is in DaimlerChryslers name so thats no help. The Mexico License is in ExxonMobil.

The Chrysler dealership I once worked in had their Mopar brand oil delivered by the Mobil distributor. It was hard to get him to talk about it, but he did reveal that in the US Mopar oil was supplied by Mobil. Mopar dino was Mobil Clean, evidently a step down from Mobil Drive Clean.

It comes in the same style bottles and boxes as EM

I was told it is Mobil, but I take everything from a dealer with a grain of salt, but it seems to be what most are told, so maybe??

I, too, was told by my local dealer's service dept it was the same thing as Mobil Clean. fwiw, I asked them when Mobil was still Mobil Drive Clean, not Mobil Clean 5000.

The last I heard was mobil drive clean.

Here in Canada this oil is made by ESSO...(same as EXXON)
