Mopar M0744 5000 miles.

The first picture is a Mopar filter for 2011-2013 3.6 Penastars. Has about 5000 miles with PP 5-20. Put a post up earlier about what filter should I get so I grabbed a fram TG and a Napa gold for my car. When I opened the Napa the second picture all the plates were not equil and just felt cheap. The fram TG is the last it seem much nicer. But I think I'll go back to the Mopar. On the next oil change.

I think there are just two versions of this filter, rebranded. One says South Korea, and one is US made. AAP has a Carquest, R84526, for $6. It looks just like the Mopar. My wife had her oil changed at Firestone once, and they used the Pennzoil PZ-180, which I think is made by Mopar also. I got the actual MO-744 at Walmart for $9.

Yea I got the Mopar from Walmart the first time but they did not have any today to I got the fram. Then stopped by Napa and see what one looked the best. The fram by a long shot look better. It was 4 bucks more but I don't think I'll use the napa.

Fram TG is a good choice. 4548-12 specs are very good, better than the napa gold. Guessing the Mopar oil filter is just a paper-only element, so its filtering specs are probably not as good as Fram TG either. Fram TG is it.
