4,100 miles on QS dino. ADBV held very well. I had to spear it w/ an awl to help it drain out. Still, it held a good pint or so.

I'm somewhat disappointed considering the $5 plus pricetag at WM. Wavy pleats and all. I'd think I could get the same performance out of a Purolator Classic for 'bout 1/2 the cost.

Opinions?

But you wouldn't get the threaded sided bypass valve.

Looking at the Mopar filter I would say the Classic would work just as well.

LOL, I put a NG on for this fill(bought on sale). I won't be buying the Mopar at WM anymore. Not sayin the Mopar's a bad filter, as I don't see any major issues w/ it, I just don't know if it's worth the price vs other offerings

I don't believe so. No white smoke, milkshake, low coolant. Filter was on pretty tight. I took an oil sample and might send it in for a UOA, mainly to see how the oil's holding up and to see how wear metals look.

How long was this filter in service? could be heavy condensation,i just opened one with 11,000 miles and very minor waves in the pleats.

5 mo in service. 60/40 hwy vs city driving. Couple of 200 mi round trips, one 1100 mile road trip, some very short duration trips to the store(
Just before this oil drain, truck idled for 10-15 min, followed by a couple mile drive as I was purging air from coolant system. I did a radiator drain/fill just before the oil change. Truck was at normal operating temp and the oil was very hot, lol.
