Mopar Bulk... Which SOPUS Oil?

I just bought a new 2010 Dodge Ram. Since it was built in 11-2010 and has 2900 miles on it with no record of an oil change I got the dealer to change the oil with Mopar Bulk Oil (SOPUS) and Filter (Purolator).

Does anyone know if the Mopar Bulk Oil is more related to the Pennzoil, Quaker State or Formula Shell Oils?

Ask your dealer if he will give you the name of his oil distributor. The factory fill and the SOPUS oil that is on the MOPAR oil program is Pennzoil.

at the dodge house here they use sureguard, it costs the regular person 359 for a 55 gallon barrel, around 1.50 a qt. its sm rated

All MOPAR/Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler dealers do not participate in the MOPAR oil program. Dealers can buy oil from whomever they choose for the cheapest price they can get it.

If they are buying on the MOPAR oil program, which is operated through the parts department and has a lot to do with how obsolete parts returns are handled, then it is a Pennzoil product sold by SOPUS.

If your dealer in Texas sells MOPAR oils in quarts or gallons, it is Pennzoil in the bottles.

Local Dodge dealer has Quaker State in bulk.

IF you truck was built in Nov of 2010, wouldn't it be a 2011?

They are on the MOPAR oil program. All I got out of them is, "it comes in a Shell Truck".

I just wanted to know what to use for top off if I needed it in the next 6,000 miles. It may be total paranoia but I dont like mixing add packs if I can avoid it.
