I have a 2004 Dodge Dakota, changed the Transmission fluid back in August of 2007, truck had 48,000 miles. Saw the Mopar+4 oil in Wal-mart and picked up 10 quarts. Dropped the pan changed both filters and it took 7 quarts.
Shifting is the same after the change. When the weather is in the 30's F it won't shift into overdrive until it has warmed up maybe 1.5 to 2 miles, the weather recently dropped into the teens and it was nearly 4 miles until it shifted into overdrive, it shifts when its warmed up.
Would I use someother +4 oil? Not until others on here overwhelmingly agree that somthing else would work better, the +4 oil is to me to new (don't want to void warranty) to be playing around with, besides I'll put in another 7 quarts every 15,000 miles from here on on out so cost won't be too bad.
