Good evening BITOG faithful. Here is a MOPAR oil filter off a good friends 2014 Ford Explorer. Had bulk 5w20 oil and this for just under 6,200 miles. Put a FRAM ULTRA 10575 and some Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0w20 he supplied in and on. Enjoy the pics and I don't know what the date of manufacture is

Thanks for the C&P

Don't know for sure, but my guess would be 273rd day of 2016, 2nd shift @ 16:42.

Well it could be worse. It could be a normal spin on MOPAR filter which are made by purolator last I read. This one is a Magneti Marelli "offered" by mopar.

If u go to Wal Mart and look at Mopar spin on filters they are WIX made I notice

Factory junk Mopar "factory installed" filters I have chopped open are Tearolators

This is a Mopar/Magnetti Marelli ecore. It seems based on several MagMar filter anecdotes that they are made by several different filter manufactures for M/M, in this case it seems Champ.

This one looks fine. The feature I wouldn't care for, it uses a combo valve for bypass. As reference, GM chose to go separate poppet bypass for it's ACDelco ecores with filter bypass on newer GM.

Thanks for c&p.
