Has anyone tried one of these before?

One of my residents is a sales rep for Monster and she gave me a few of these to try out. The taste is pretty good, and it gives you a decent buzz.

I'm normally not a big fan of energy drinks, but lately I've had too much work (and too little time) and these energy drinks seem to do the trick!

Go your hardest.

In my day it was a couple of No Doze, a spoon full of instant coffee, and washed down with Coke.

She'll jack the price up soon.

Two cups of cheap Maxwell House coffee will give you a better caffeine buzz. It won't taste as good, though.

I have not tried that particular Monster drink. I occasionaly drink the sugar free Monster drinks, which have a "unique" taste. They keep my head from hitting the desk when I'm tired.

I agree. However, this was free and I wanted to try something different.

If I feel like splurging, I sometimes head over to the local Starbucks and order a white chocolate mocha Frappuchino with whipped cream, in Grande size. Or, I go to Whole Foods and order a dark chocolate mocha (I think that's the correct name) from their coffee bar.

Caribou is nasty coffee, acquired taste, but then again so is my blueberry coffee or Hazlenut :|

I am not a big fan of energy drinks, lots of calories, caffeine etc. I remember at lan parties in my youth we would drink BAWLS(yah) and NERD. They would easily power you through the night into the late morning but man did you ever feel like [censored]. Trying to goto bed was a mission itself.

I like the sugar-free versions of those drinks. Best experience I had was on a loooooong drive. Took a nap, drank a sugar-free Red Bull, and was peppy for the remainder of the drive.

Yes-that 12 ounce can has almost 40 grams of refined sugar-equal to about 7 or 8 teaspoons of sugar. I don't think I consume that much refined sugar in a week.

Add to that the damage that the sugar and acids do to your teeth and it's packed with sodium.

You couldn't get me to touch one of those.

If you haven't figured out the health problems that much refined sugar causes by now you probably won't.

I will drink a sugar free energy drink, usually amp.

The only time I buy it is when I'm standing in line at walmart, they discount it and charge about 1.49 for a large can.

I totally stopped drinking soda, so this is a once a month treat for me.

I lost 15 pounds in 2 months by doing nothing more than stop drinking soda. I don't exercise hardly at all. The corn sugar was killing me.

My daily beverage is 2 cups of hot green tea in the morning, water all day, then 1 cup of mint tea at night. Occasional milk as well.
