Attached is a spec sheet for the Mobil Synergy diesel fuel.

Most (or all) Mobil & Exxon stations are required to sell this branded fuel and not a local diesel fuel from the terminal.

I didn't get the memo. Delivered 2 loads of diesel today that I loaded off the ExxonMobil account. Nothing special about it. If this specific product is not to come from a local terminal...how will it get to the store?

Ive tried it a few times, nothing really noticeable. I do see on my fuelly app that I ran it twice in a row and noticed a .1 and .2 mpg increase, and dropped back down again after Sunoco, but could have been driving habits over those tanks, no warmups etc. Some stations are pricing it fairly, 2.95-2.99, which Ill use, and some show 3.49+. One maniac is 3.89 on a busy highway, I guess hoping people wont pay attention?

Prior to this the terminals would sell a generic diesel fuel to the various gas stations. Nothing "Mobil" about it. Even if it went to a Mobil gas station.

With this diesel fuel the additives are Mobil brand and probably proprietary. It may be like gas, where all the gas is the same but it's the additives that make it unique to a brand.

The local station owner said I should not need to add anything all winter long even in the freezing temps.

Apparently it's not available in all markets. Our Kinder-Morgan terminal does not have it...and according to the terminal manager, there are no plans for it. None of my ExxonMobil accounts advertise it either.
