Mobil Super HM (conventional)

I this High Mileage oil considered or appear to be better than some of the others, especially Maxlife? I was looking at it last night at Walmart and it is the only High Mileage oil that carries the “resource conserving” label.
Anyone running it right now? Liking it?

IMO, it's too new in getting much feedback. I suggest YOU try it and let us know how YOU like it.

The other day, I saw a brand-new bottles of Mobil Super HM 10w30 at a local CT store.

Thing that caught my attention is that it was packaged in the 'US style' bottles, as opposed to the 'Canadian' style of bottles - in Canada, all Mobil oils - conventional included - are packaged in the M1 style bottles, just with different labels. I actually like the US bottles better!

IMO...You might be right about Mobil High Mileage conventional being better than the New Valvoline MaxLife High Mileage oil in SN.

They took all the Moly out and made some changes from the older MaxLife SM. IMO...that was the selling point for quality in the SM version of MaxLife Synthetic Blend High Mileage.

I've not seen the Mobil High Mileage conventional anywhere yet so we should hear about the results when more Mobil fans start using it over the MaxLife SN.

I loaded up on the MaxLife Synthetic Blend High Mileage, SM when it was on clearance for $2.70 a quart at Kmart. I'll keep that in my stash for people who start burning oil or who have leaking oil in their vehicles. I also have the Clearance Pennzoil "Bronze" bottles for High Mileage oil stored for the same purpose. Have not needed to use these oils....yet.

It's doing fine in my ride. 5 quarts of it at $12.50 is tough to beat in my opinion. It is cheaper than every high mileage conventional by a long shot and also cheaper than all standard conventionals except supertech. Went to it from Mobil 1; no problems

Super HM is a BLEND - If you read the PDS is says the following

"Mobil Super High Mileage uses a combination of synthetic and conventional high quality base oils combined with modern performance additives to help provide long engine life and outstanding protection for vehicles with more than 75,000 miles. Formulated with seal conditioner, Mobil Super High Mileage helps prevent leaks and reduce oil consumption."

Wasnt there a VOA or UOA on this oil recently? If I recall, it didnt look so great.

It was a VOA on Super Conventional... and VOA's don't detect some of the newer additives.

It's thinner. It has the same viscosity as the regular Mobil Super oils.

Most High Mileage oils are thicker then their regular oil counterparts.
