Why Mobil Super 4T motorcycle oil 15W-50
viscosity in data sheet = SAE 20W-40
if that's true
why print 15W-50 on bottle?

can u answer me or help me mail to company for answer.
my English too poor

Interesting. EDIT: The more I looked at that it just looks like a printing mistake or something.

I would simply ask:

Why do you label your oil as 15W-50 when the viscosity is only 14.4 cSt@100°C? OR is this just a printing error?

I think that's not a printing error
Mobil Super 4T sold in Taiwan very long time ago

http://www.mobil.com/Taiwan-Chinese/Lubes/PDS/apxxz2pvlmosuper4t.pdf

if data sheet was true
so they cheat
if data sheet wrong
why need to list two row data about viscosity
(one on bottle , one SAE viscosity)
the "Mobil super 4T 15W-40" SAE viscosity is 15W-50
the "Mobil super 4T 15W-50" SAE viscosity is 20W-40
are you ever see a 15w-50 mineral oil?
(i just ever see 10w40/15w40/20w50)

i try to ask Chinese service(China) last month
but they gave me an answer full of nonsense

If it's not an error, then it's strictly a "marketing ploy", and I agree with the not a synthetic idea as well. The savvy consumer such as yourself is calling them on it.

BTW, where in Taiwan do you live? I've been to your country nearly 20 times. Mostly factories in the north, all around Taipei. But also the south near Kaohsiung.

Hey rakuentw,

I agree this is strange, but I don't know how to interpret it. One thing that I notice on the bottle images in your message, is that there is no word about "synthetic". The bottles sold in the US all have "synthetic" on them.

You may want to send a message to Mobil 1 US Customer Service, including the images you sent us. Ask them for clarification.

Here's the link to the US Motorcycle Oils:

http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/MotorOil/Oils/Motorcycle_Oils.aspx

And to Mobil 1 Customer Service for email:

http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/MotorOil/Home/Contact_Us.aspx

Tell them that the Chinese service didn't answer your question, and include the info you posted here. If you need help let us know.
