C'mon... what common name oil brand, found at our typical national auto-parts stores, plus places like Walmart, KMart, Target, Meijer...etc.... sells 100% Group 4 oil?
What is your definition of true-blue, full synthetic?
Sounds like your shopping at the wrong places for a synthetic
but, no place or oil company sells 100% group iv oil - unless you are buying bulk stock to blend. I'm not saying thats what you want (real syn) I'm saying you arent buying synthetic - you are buying a syn blend (at best) when you buy ILSAC "fully synthetic" oil". So its a moot argument about CP/Honda semisyn vs M1 vs PP vs Quaker State Ultimate Durability etc. Look at specs, not worthless add copy. BTW ELF found through extensive track experience that syn blend work better (lubricity) than majority group iv base.
TAYQ: 0w30 BP Castrol showing MB and BMW LL gasoline approvals should still be be majority iv/v base oil with high HTHS and low pour point and good ccs and mrv (below -50). BP's latest TDS for EDGE with Syntec appear top have wrong./conflicting data for this oil.
