Found a great deal on Mobil Delvac ESP 5w/40 at local Autozone for $10 a gallon. Picked up 3 gallons. Be sure to check your local Autozone....deal may not last long.

This data is for the CK-4 version, not the CJ-4 version as pictured. The CJ-4 version is SM. I looked back a photo I took years ago when I ran it in my TDI.

EDIT: Other pictures corroborate, too.

IIRC the Delvac MX 15W/40 stuff (not synthetic) I use (but can no longer get) meets SJ but isn't actually API certified.

I'd have expected that would be corporate policy thing and would be true across that product line, but I don't think it has the API class on the front of the jug, so maybe it does vary.

Low SAPS as related to HDEOs as opposed to PCMOs. Traditional additive levels of this oil are about like PCMO API SL oils were.

SA at 1%, ZDDP in the 1100 to 1300 ppm range.

Its good stuff, I run it in my Cummins powered Ram 2500. $10 is really cheap, I bought a stash when it was 12.99 on rebate last year.

I found one jug at the local 'Zone, but it wouldn't ring up. I showed the manager this thread, and he said it if won't ring up, he can't attempt to sell it to me.

He took it in the back.
