Seriously, drain Interval.

Before SP GF-6 and the demise of Annual Protection Mobil differentianted them this way:

Super = Standard (5000 mi)

Super Synthetic = Budget Synthetic (7500 mi)

M1 = Standard Synthetic (10,000 mi)

M1 EP = Extended Drain Synthetic (15,000 mi)

M1 AN = Ultimate Synthetic (20,000 mi).

Of course if your manufacturer has a longer interval and the oil meets specs it's good for that as well.

Now where does Mobil Full Synthetic fall?

I posted this on another non-automotive forum I'm on but has a lot of gear heads.

Oil on the left 'Mobil' is what the nephew just used in his truck. He's not sure if he bought it at Canadian Tire or NAPA. The Mobil 1 in the middle is new stock from Crappy Tire. Both are API SP service. The Mobil 1 on the right was purchased in the US during the fall of 2019 and is API SN. Now to my question, does anyone know what the story is on Mobil as opposed to Mobil 1? As you can see from the labeling both are full synthetic. I've never seen any oil besides M1 from them.

I'm guessing the middle oil is the 'mid-grade' synthetic. Has labelling in the US changed as well since the improvement from SN to SP service ratings?

Mobil Full synthetic would be the equivalent to Supertech or Harvest King, or any other basic store brand synthetic.

What? It goes Mobil then M1 then M1 EP when it comes to heirarchy. Take into consideration base stocks, flash points and TBN.
