I got hold of this much information on the new Mobil 5w-40 . It will meet : API SL/SJ API CI-4/CH-4 CG-4/CF-4/CF ACEA E5/E4/E3 JASO DH-1 Global DH-1 Detroit Diesel DDC 7SE 270 " 4 stroke " Caterpillar ECF-1 Mack , EO-N Premium Plus Cummins CES 20078/77/76/75 Volvo VDS-3 ,VDS-2 No typical data yet but I'm working on it

I'm very anxious to see the specs on this oil. I'm debating weather to put the new Mobil 1 5w-40 or the Castrol syntec 5w-40 in my fuel injected 383 stroker. If anyone finds the specs, please post ASAP!!!!!!

Hmm.. sounds VERY much like another Mobil-made 5W-40...

Yeah based on those ratings it sure sounds like a rebadged Mobil Delvac 1 5W-40. All those HD diesel specs sort of gave it away. Jerry

I would expect this oil to also have an ACEA A/B rating, because I doubt that the majority of SUVs have diesel engines in the N/A market.
