Mobil 1 shortage

Our Walmart shelves were fully stocked last Friday, in Council Bluffs, IA.

I go to Walmart around 7 AM to avoid the crowds.

6 am

i note my local walmart doesnt carry much oil lately, i though they clean out old stock. Oil shortage really happen ?

It's Walmart. Just because it's not on the shelves doesn't mean there's a shortage. Either that store can't hire enough people to stock the shelves or they're trying to increase profit margins by not hiring as many people. You kinda wonder how business can be better if there's less inventory on the shelves, but there's enough stuff on the shelves that people end up coming back waiting for when they have it in stock. It'd probably hurt them if they weren't the low price leader but where else can you go that's cheaper?

The ones I go to normally aren't wiped out, but then again, I tend to avoid the busy times like the first of the month or weekends.

Oh but of course. I have no choice but to bear the humiliation of the superior Mobil 1™ buyers in the store looking down upon me like a useless vagrant for not being able to a spend more.

Well we usually buy Mobil 1 when they run their $10-$12 rebate on a jug so it actually ends up being cheaper than Supertech. Also Supertech doesn't make an 0w40 oil with MB 229.5 approval.

i tried their rebate once but it got denied and i haven't tried again.
