Mobil 1 Racing 4T 10W-40

Just performed an oil change on a 2005 Honda Rancher this past weekend. I used the Mobil 1 Racing 4T 10W-40 oil. Unbelievable!!! The rattling sound that came from the engine before, while using Valvoline ATV 10W-40, is completely gone!!! This machine runs totally different. Sounds great, runs better! Give it a shot if you are looking for a good ATV motor oil.

Might be putting it in my Raptor next, I used to run the MX4T, in my old Raptor, I think they are the same..

Yep, you found pretty much the holy grail of atv motor oil.

If you want to experiment a bit run some GC, Castrol Syntec 0w30 made in Germany, in your quad. It is absolutely the smoothest oil I've ever seen in a quad engine, and seems to have a bit more responsiveness too. It is a heavy 30wt, but I haven't run it yet in summer, may be on the thin side, haven't decided yet.

Dont waste your money on the ATV specific mobil 1.

If you can find it, Mobil 1 0w-40 is almost the same exact thing. Some walmarts carry it in 5 quart jugs for 20$.

I am running this in a 2004 YFZ450 I just picked up. All good so far.
