anyone got opinions which is better rotella t6 5w-40 or Mobil 1 5w-40 diesel. walmart here has the Mobil 1 on sale for only $15 wondering if its as good as the rotella t6?

How about telling us what car/engine this is for, what's your driving pattern, planned OCI, etc.?
But all in all, I'd expect Mobil 1 5w-40 to be at least as good as T6.

Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5w40 is as good or better than Rotella t6 5W30, it is one of the best 5W40 for diesel engines.

so since the Mobil 1 is on sale for 5 dollars cheaper basically i should get that because even if the t6 is better the Mobil 1 is a very close second would that be fair to say?
If Mobil 1 5w40 is on sale and is cheaper, get it. You cant make a bad decision. Get the one that is cheaper. Mobil 1 is a little thicker than the T6 if it matters too you. I personally would not say one is any better or worse than the other. Both are top notch.

That's how I take it. I'd go with the Mobil 1 if it was $15.
