Mobil 1 or Mobil 1 EP?

I have the same engine and a 3 mile to commute to work in a climate that gets cold during winter. My car has only used M1 EP 0w20 and AFE 0w20. My last oil change I had them put in regular M1 5w20 due to the lower spread for fuel dilution issues, which don't appear to be that bad in Skyactiv engines but the commute and temps I'm in now will certainly increase that risk.

Motorcraft is a good oil and would be an excellent choice as well.

sure but will it really matter?its a 19k miles 2017 Japanese engine.
if it will and if it wont i still got to know im using the best its an illness.an high zddp low noack illnes.

You're overthinking this. What viscosity grade is recommended? I can only look up the North American owners manual (picked a 2018 Mazda 6 since it has a SkyActiv 2.5) and it recommended 0W-20 in the US/Canada and 5W-30 in Mexico.

If you're changing it at manufacturer's recommended intervals then there's really not much of a benefit to trying to get "the best". Right now I'm using the cheapest "brand name" 5W-20 in my wife's Honda Civic. I wouldn't even worry too much about the heat, as long as you maintain your cooling system properly. If I were to guess, your owners manual probably indicates using an ILSAC (GF-5) 5W-30. Use that, monitor for oil consumption, and change it the way you're doing now. You'll be fine even on Motorcraft. Unless you have some specialty application I'm not sure you need to worry about it.

5-30 and yes ILSAC (GF-5)and below.

Nearly all motor oil that meets any current API specification is a "blend" if you consider the marketing term "synthetic" means a lot of Group II/III oils. At this point I don't know if calling motor oil "semi-synthetic" says anything useful about its properties. It's a marketing term that vaguely implies a higher performance standard than the most basic motor oils meeting the same required standards.

A lot of the newer oils that are called "conventional" could be marketed as "semi-synthetic".

Really. What test scenarios are those?

If I was going to use a Mobil 1 product,I'd go with M1 EP simply because it's their flagship product and it's only a few bucks more than the regular M1. I almost went with it last oil change, but I'm very happy with Pennzoil Platinum.

Yup, I went with it, the super high PAO content was a big factor.

If you're changing every 5k (kms, correct?) and least every 6 months, there isn't likely to be much difference even between an oil barely meeting the API requirements and the most exotic motor oil (like something from Red Line or Motul). The "sweet spot" if you insist however is with some of the higher performance house brands where there isn't an advertising budget. Not sure what that would be in Israel, but around here that's motor oil such as the SuperTech (Walmart house brand) "full synthetic" where a 5 quart container costs less at Walmart than the brand name "conventional" oils such as Pennzoil, Valvoline, Castrol, etc.

You mentioned "best for converter" which would actually be something lower in ZDDP and perhaps using more of another antiwear additive (titanium or molybdenum).

Sounds like a good idea depending on the car. If I finally get that Honda Civic Type R I've been thinking about, I'd probably feed it Mobil 1 EP 0W-20. But if my wife gets the Subaru Forester she's been asking to buy, then maybe something like QS Ultimate Durability 0W-20 or the new 6 quart Havoline box if my local WM starts carrying it. I supposed SuperTech 0W-20 would be fine but I still get the warm and fuzzies from something "name brand".

i will change every 6 months it will be around 6k km.
i get the m1 and the m1 ep at the same price, read somewhere that changing oil to often is actually bad is it true? and if so what is to soon?

Go with the Mobil 1 EP. Changing it too often won't hurt a thing.

Don't believe everything you read in the interwebs

It's of no particular benefit, and a automotive studies suggest that there's possibly better wear if oil changes aren't done too frequently.

a year even tho i do very short trips and summer is extremely hot and humid?it doesn't sound like a good idea to me plus oil changes are cheap and so important why not do them.

I can't imagine Mobil 1 EP is "cheap" there in Israel. What does it cost and where do you get it?

You keep mentioning typical US brands, what other brands are available locally?

I have used my Ranger for very short distance (less than 2 miles to work, 7 days. Once in one or two weeks, i took it on hwy). I just used whatever left over oil from after my wife's oil change. M1 ESP, Castrol GTX and NAPA. 100 degrees to low 30 degrees in winter. I did short OCI though, 4 or 5 months (never go by miles since its low anyway.)

Anyway out of two, id go cheaper one. but if price are same, id go M1 ESP.
