Mobil 1 Oil Selector

I've been playing around with the Mobil 1 oil selector. For my '00 Buick, it recommends 10w30 above zero and 5w30 below zero. For a '00 Hyundai Sonata, it recommends 10w30 above zero and 5w30 below zero, just like my Buick. But what I really found strange is that it recommends 5w30 for a 1986 Mustang GT above zero. I didn't even know 5w30 was available back then.

Did you know that SAE 20 has been available for at least 6 decades?

I know that SAE 20 was common back in the 1930s, but I've never actually seen it on a shelf anywhere.

I have found a VOA of 20W20 conducted in 1985 of a ARCO brand not ARCO graphite.

Also I have found VOA's of many 5W30's from 1985 so 5W30 was available for your Mustang.
