Mobil 1 & oil consumption

I have had the opposite experience with the product. It has never burned off in any vehicles I have used it in, and really bad oil-burners I have put it in has had reduced consumption on M1.

I'm agree with most of the other people on this thread... you probably have a mechanical problem. For an engine to one day start to consume oil when it never did before tells me something has changed.

If you have a trusted mechanic, I would at least have him take a look, run a few tests, maybe hook it up to a computer, etc.

yeah i have a friend who has also experienced the same as me and another who said his doesn't burn a drop of M1

i guess every car is different
