I bought a few of these for my Saab 9-5 and put one in yesterday. I was surprised how flimsy the filter was. I won't buy more. A Motorcraft FL 400s seems much more substantial by comparison. I expected better from a Mobil 1.

"Flimsy" for me is when I start to worry about the integrity of the can when I'm hand tightening it.

I made a mistake; the filter is a MOBIL 1 MO195. The filter in the heading is the air filter I bought at the same time.

That's not a mobil 1 filter.

That's an aftermarket replacement for a mobil filter.

I see it being made by "killer filter" on amazon?

M1 filters are black and have models such as

m1-104

Lmao and they cost more than a real Mobil 1 filter, at least on Amazon!

Deceptive advertising at a minimum. If it were me, I'd remove it at once and install a real name brand filter - Mobil 1 or anything else besides a "killer filter".

RockAuto may show it as a Mobil 1 filter but it appears the filter itself just indicates it is a Mobil filter.

I'd say go with your plan of using the Motorcraft FL-400S - that's a great filter especially for the price.

This seems right. I'll contact them.

That must be a Mobil installer filter not a Mobil M1 filter. Rock Auto gets into a lot of suppliers warehouses it seems. I think this is possibly right, other companies have installer filters.

RockAuto needs to fix this description. They used the description for the Mobil 1 Extended Performance Oil Filters, but, then attached it to these filters.

These are NOT the same filters! Mobil 1 filters are painted black, and built stout. Nothing "flimsy" about them.
