i have 103,000 miles on an 04 sunfire and have been running mobile 1 since 10,000. I have been changing it ever 4,000 miles but i was wondering if any one here could think of a reson that i could not go up to 7500 with the oil.

P.S. i do about 75% highway driving.

Thanks Josh

You should have no problem going 7500 miles (or more actually) between changes given your driving conditions. To be certain you might want to do a used oil analysis, mainly to see that there are no issues mechanically with the engine that would prohibit you from doing longer intervals.

I have a 96 sunfire with a couple of UOA's posted. the owner's manual for a 96 model year short trip was 3k oci. long trip 7500 miles. Both with dino oil. With full syn and 75% highway driving, mobil 1 will make it to 7500 oci. piece of cake

If that's EP you're using, you could probably go 10K.

pertty dam close.
I live 75 miles from where i work and have to drive back and forth ever day. Then my feince live 180 miles from were i live and i drive down there every weekend.

Good grief Sunfire Josh. If work is closer to your soon-to-be wife, I'd probably re-locate closer so the drive won't be so long.

Of course I'm sure you enjoy the driving, but everynow and then I bet you get a bit tired of driving the whole time & just want to get from point A to point B in a matter of minutes. But yeah going that long with Mobil 1 should give you no problems.......hope your using a good filter!
