According to the NTPOG.ORG guys (their OLD filter study, which is still accessible), the M104 has 108 sq in of media, and the M105 has 135. You might do well to ensure the thread engagement and gasket mating are appropriate, although the posters above suggest this shouldn't be a problem.
 
For what it's worth, the M1-105 does work functionally on a 2002 Accord V6. The by-pass pressure valve may be rated 5 lbs. higher, so I wouldn't use a high viscosity oil in a cold climate with it.
