Mobil 1 ESP 5w30…….use it in everything?

Once I run out of my existing stash, I am planning on using the ESP in our DI which is mainly on Mobil 1 Extended Performance 10w30 or whatever other Euro oil on sale (lately Castrol). The book and oil cap says 5W-20. Overall I am a Mobil 1 user but wonder off sometimes due to sale prices.

Thinking the ESP may even help IVD but the jury may be out on that one. Is there any Euro approval which has IVD related testing?
I used to think running a 10W30 would help protect a DI engine from IVD but now I’m not so sure ? There reason is no oil company is putting any research into a 10W30 oil - they just aren’t . The focus is 0W30 and 5W30 for the oil companies addressing major auto maker specifications and requirements which doesn’t include 10W30. I switched to Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w30 and Mobil 1 ESP 0w30 long ago in my DI engine . This past week it was time for my 10K mile CRC Intake valve cleaner treatment and the result was FAR less smoke (next to zero) and “can of marbles” sounding engine after the 1 hour soak and first after treatment drive was non - existent now . The engine had a slight hesitation after accelerating for a couple of seconds and that was it . *My point is since switching to and staying with mainstream Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w30 and Mobil 1 ESP 0w30 I no longer feel IVD are a concern in at least my DI (Hyundai) engine running 4K mile / 6 month OCI’s. I believe I would have the same experience using Pennzoil Platinum Plus or Pennzoil Ultra Platinum as well with low IVD. The 10W30 oils offered by major oil companies are no longer their best oils and running Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w30 , Mobil 1 ESP 0w30 or even 5W30 ESP should present no IVD concerns in a DI engine with conservative OCI’s which in my opinion should be run any way in a DI engine (4K miles / 6 months).
 
xW30 ESP is really a great oil. Many of us use it on track due to high HTHS figure, it rivals 0w40 oils really.
I personally still have some 5w30 on my shelf. I was not aware of 0w30 having ester content. At the time I bought 5w30 siimply with the idea that it would have lower VII amount.

So for protection, it seems to be fantastic oil. Answering your question though, there are cases where I would not use this formula. One of my vehicles has a GM 1.5Turbo engine that calls for 0w20 oil, but for added protection I will be putting 5w30 or 0w30 on the next fill. I am thinking about Pennzoil Ultra Premium, since its viscosity is significantly closer to 0w20, almost the midpoint between ESP and a regular 0w20
 
Based on reports from China oil marketing and the Russian auto club testing that Mobil 1 ESP 0w30 may be the flag ship oil product while the Mobil 1 ESP 5w30 may be a slight step behind (AN with no ester).
I don’t believe that the 5w30 contains any AN actually

So, I have a EarthDreams GDI Honda Accord 2017, is it safe for me to run Mobil 1 ESP 0 or 5w30? If so, what are the pro/con versus? Thanks
