Running as mentioned the AFE 0W30 in wife's Civic Hatch 1.5T/6 Speed. So far has 8,069KM (5,000MI) on this oil, just turned 40% on OLM. Normally would change every 5,000KM (3,100MI) but figure I'd give the OLM a chance after a recent oil sample showed tons of usable life and very little dilution. (Don't mind my custom made dipstick for checking). The car has 205,000Km (127,000MI) on it, this oil is holding up based on texture and colour beautiful. I will send it out for a test when due at 15% on OLM, which based on my math should be around 11,xxxKM. (6,800MI)

M1 AFE 0w-30 seems to perform quite well DI and turbo engines based on several UOA posts. While it's not as good as the ESP variant it seems like it doesn't shear down as quick as it's 0w-20 AFE sibling. Personally I ran AFE 0w-30 in my 21 Subaru outback 2.5L NA for 3 OCI with good samples close to 3k with fuel dilution in cold Midwest weather similar to Canada. Most likely would of gone 5-6k miles just fine. Just disregard the first and second samples as they were other brands and weights.

Unless you licked it and ran it between your teeth, you really cannot tell.

Color doesn't mean much. In fact the color will change due to heat just from the AO's. My last oil change the oil was black as night and the filter had a ton of blackened oil. A UOA showed the oil was in great shape.

I believe the SP 0w30 AFE was improved a bit in terms of how much VI they use per Gokhan's formulation. It's never been a shear stable oil. The prior 0w30 AFE might as well been a 0w20. (probably made that way in purpose for better fuel economy)

Looks great. From the 3 UOA’s it appears you haven’t changed the oil? However you did mention the use of other oils. Thanks for posting.

actually, for a Mobil 1 oil, its pretty good, the 0w-30 meets all the specs needed ,and liking the start up protection along with a 30w .nice replacement for a 0w-20 oil only a bit thicker.
