Mobil 1 just updated SDS on May 13th, and PAO is reduced from 10-15%, to pretty much nothing
Also, looks like viscosity @ 100C is slightly down and pour point is no longer -50

Its amazing that they changed formulation so quickly after new product launch. That PAO must be really expensive. Now that PAO is gone, viscosity @ 100C is lowered — I am no longer impressed by Mobil 1 Advanced Clean, its just another Mobil 1 oil….

Bad move imo, at least for the Bitog segment of the market. The average Joe will still remain clueless and I'm pretty sure that's their target market. The name of the game is making a profit, and sometimes cheapening a product to do so. The bottom line: that's the goal of any company on the planet that sells product or services.

Yup. As long as it still cleans like it's supposed to, losing some PAO isn't that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things.

How do you know it's the better cleaner and what other claims separate those 2 products? EP claims the same thing "cleans your engine in one change".
Why would you have 2 oils that are the exact same? You wouldn't. We don't know much of anything yet since it's still fairly new but if you believe the marketing....that's how companies work.
