Mobil 1 5W30 EP and Delvac 5W40 mixed 1:1 ratio

Would mixing Mobil 1 5W30 EP and Delvac 5W40 at a 1:1 ratio result in a heavy 30 weight?

viscosity at 40°C 76.4 cSt
viscosity at 100°C 12.3 cSt

just shy of a SAE 40.

I can't comment on whether such a mix is advisable. Maybe others will chime in.

Umm, different formulations. Either find one product that fits you needs or if you must mix, stay within the Supersyn line.

It's my opinion that mixing is throwing darts blindfolded. How do you know it's better? It's the ultimate placebo affect; it makes you feel better.
