I don't see any real problems. The iron is a little high, but looking at 4esorselrahc's numbers, it's pretty close to inline. Unless you're in extremely dusty conditions, I don't see a need to change your air filter so often. I wouldn't change 3k miles into an oil change if I were going to do a UOA.

Maybe try the Mobil 1 EP for comparison and if you do 3 changes per year, you can avoid the winter, maybe Nov, Mar, and July at 8.5K each would work. Two times per year may be fine though, your wear per mile is not that bad. My guess is that you don't usually dyno test it a couple of times each oci and this may have pushed the wear up some.

From the reading I've done, the EP results are no better (and possibly worse) than regular M1, + it costs more, so I'm really not inclined to try it. I think I'll run the regular M1 5W30 another 12k miles and see what it looks like then. I know when I put on the blower, I took care of any possible intake leaks, and of course its possible that some dirt fell into the intake while we were working on it, so that's all behind us now and we should get 'valid' results on the next test with no need for asterisks (unless something unusual happens in the next 10k miles.)

Thanks for your inputs guys. I really appreciate it.
