If you say it sees mostly highway miles I don't see the need to increase viscosity. ONLY if you tracked this car would I go beyond the 'daily driver' fill of a 20 grade for a better HTHS. Even if you 'drive it hard' on the highway it's not the same as STAYING at/near red line on a track for an extended period of time.
Maybe if you were red lining it during constant stop & go city driving and short-tripping it then would I start thinking of changing anything but I'd consider changing mileage intervals before grades.
That was the first fill on the engine from factory right? Why observe the factory fill as a baseline to make changes from right away?
