I'm using it in my 2008 2.7L 4-cly. US calls for 5W-20 or 0W-20, but between Texas heat and New Mexico's mountains, not to mention the speeds we travel in the rural West, I just feel better with 30 weight on the upper end. Also, Australia's Castrol and Mobil websites both state the use of 5W-30 and other, heavier grades in the idential 2.7L engines in the Hi-Ace and Hi-Lux vehicles. I think if it's (30-wt.) approved in other nations for any particular engine, any mfg. would find it hard to deny a warranty claim for an engine failure...that is, if you were dumb enough to 'volunteer' that you'd been using other than a 20 wt. All our other vehicles use Mobil-1 or Delvac-1 is my real reason for choosing the Mobil-1 version of the oW-30.
