I don't think so. A fully formulated blend of additives in oil have proper ratio's. Just adding extra P to your oil isn't going to work.Since MMO has phosphorus in it, and Phosphorus is supposed to help reduce LSPI, maybe MMO is a good thing for direct injected motors?
Right.I assume he means adding it to the fuel, not the oil.
Have you experienced LSPI without MMO?Since MMO has phosphorus in it, and Phosphorus is supposed to help reduce LSPI, maybe MMO is a good thing for direct injected motors?
No. But, snake oils like mmo, Lucas, and Seafoam helps to make people feel like they are helping something lolHave you experienced LSPI without MMO?
Then why would you add some unregulated, questionable additive to oils that have never given you any problems on their own?No. But, snake oils like mmo, Lucas, and Seafoam helps to make people feel like they are helping something lol
So, if that’s your line of thinking, buy an oil that there is no doubt it’s built on the finest materials with the best science. Many here have learned how to do that and have had nothing but positive feedback. But, really. The same reason anyone here thinks about oil, other than just following the manufacturer’s recommendations, and using products from the dealer. To feel like one is doing something better for their machine than the manufacturer suggests.
Products like MMO allow that without causing to much harm, at worst, and doing little to help at best.
Yeah forgot about thatPhodphorous that's burned is also a cat killer. Gamble on a benefit with LSPI, while being sure to kill the catalytic converters....
