A man after my own heart. It's probably the best thing you can add to a transmission, and is recommended by transmission re-builders too.

yes! Engineers that built that transmission, built it for a VERY specific fluid.

Don't over think it.

Yes, MMO is safe for usage in automatic transmissions. Use no more than 16 ounces of MMO in the automatic transmission.

I have never used it in a transmission, but I have had good luck with this "snake oil" in gas/diesel applications. I've never really cared what others here have said about it. I like MMO.

BTW, their air tool oil works well too.

You believe what the manufacturers say? They want to sell you their product.

Yes Lubeguard red is good stuff. I certainly wouldn't use ARX, MMO, Seafoam or anything else in there trying to clean something that isn't there.
IMO thats just asking for trouble.

This unit has a "real filter" not just a rock catcher so additional filters are just another source of possible leaks, i wouldn't bother.

So does every manufacturer Don.

It’s not a matter of believing, it’s a matter of experience with using MMO. I like it. It cleans well (IMO).

Again, I've never used it in a transmission, and would probably opt for a dedicated transmsission product (if needed), but based on MMO's recommendation, I do not think it would cause the transmission harm.

Use what the manufacturer calls for.

Of course most can use an ATF aftermarket product that meets the car makers specs if you want.

The important part is that which ever ATF fluid you use it must MEET those specs.

DON'T PUT ANYTHING ELSE IN A CORRECTLY FUNCTIONING AUTO TRANS.

I hope that was tongue-in-cheek?

Nope, it IS in my transmission. I do not advise others to do it. I put about a cup of MMO, a cup of MotorKote (love that midnight trucker radio program) and 8 ounce bottle of Slick 50 Auto Trans (UPC code 027104004161)

No issues

No issues yet you mean!!

OK, just to make you happy I will drain and fill every year with Valvoline MaxLife. Filter change every other year.

all these "other things" people put in transmissions are very good for the rebuilders pockets.

Wow!
And my brother closed his transmission shop because it was not doing well... But he is in NJ

I live in a uniquely depressed area and our local 'good' trans rebuilder is packed with work. He has a 5 day wait just to get diagnosis!

I have lived all over Fl and there's a hot trans shop in every town. You can always find them by asking the local rodders at car shows and finding who does the dealer's work.

Steve, it's the same thing here in my part of Florida. When I called the local shop, he told me it would be at least a week before he could get to my transmission as they are backed up with work. He said part of the reason was tax returns as people have been putting off work and just getting by until they got a little extra money. He said it's like that every year.

Talking about transmission shop, Gator went out of business. They must have had to screw up really bad given they had a steady supply of new customer base with the Honda V6. Jaspor and Gator were the two respected names for last many years.
