I doubt that a Detroit locker was ever offered from the factory on any f body, even going all the way back to 1st gens.

Unless it was on the VERY low number RPO/ZL-1/big block specials, and the dealer specials (Baldwin, Nickey, Berger, Dana, Harrell, Yenko, etc.)??

No cars ever come with a locker. It has no advantage in a car.

The locker is for off road traction and the G80 locker releases above 20 mph. Lockers can be dangerous to drive and the tendency with both wheels locked up it to spin out. You need the limited slip to control that happening.

I drove a Chevy PU that had a Richmond gear rear locker installed and it scared me. Driving down an icy road at 55mph and the rear suddenly started jump out on me. The tire with the best traction started pulling in that direction and I almost spun out.
