Mixing Schaeffer w/Mobil Delvac Super

Have 3 gal Schaeffer9000 Synshield want to mix 5 qts into 2.5 gal Delvac Super for the next couple oil services on a ‘20 6.7 Powerstroke. Is this ok for 5k miles or do I just run one or the other? TIA

Mobil Delvac 1300 Super does not meet Ford’s requirements, phosphorus and zinc are too low.

Yes it’s okay to mix. But the resulting mixture may not still meet any of the existing licenses, specifications, or approvals that the original oils met.

By my count, this is the fourth “mixing” thread in play.

Agree w/ @Bighorn2500 I think you could get away with mixing it since the Schaeffers9000 should have higher amounts of additives to Ballance it out but I'd stick to Ford's specification as soon as your stash is depleted.

I'd personally sell the Mobil and use the Schaeffer oils.

Actually it ends up being Delvac Extreme 15w-40 which is on the Ford spec approved list. I missed the return date so I will proceed as planned. Thank you for all the responses. Tha Schaeffer is Synshield Durability advantage 15w-40. So I need to practice reading!
