Mixing Oils this way...would you do it ?

No, I feel guilty if I have to mix different grades of M1.

I have added a quart of incorrect oil to finish a trip, knowing I will change it when I get home.

Given that there's a fairly common set of offerings on BITOG
* of course XW anything, mixed in any proportion with another XW (X being the same) results in an XW.
* of course, nothing bad HAS or ever WILL happen from mixing
* when yo are on the road, you always add an odd quart...and the above two statements of fact apply.
* when you change the oil, then you still have 10-20% of the old oil left if you change brands (and the above two/three facts prevail in that discussion)
* given the above two facts have not been eliminated by the OEMs, then nothing bad will ever happen
* Mixing calculators (which were developed on individual basestocks) give accurate results.
* synthetic basestocks always improve mineral
* Ca and Mg do the same thign and are complementary
* Zn and Mo are the same and are complimentary.

my blending technique proposed here should naturally be better than adding random leftovers, because ALL of the synergies are there.

(actually, should probably change it to one quart of used oil for every 10 of "new leftovers" to get that one last synergy going as well).
