So I was checking the oil in my '14 CTS 3.7. It was about a quart low and I was trying to avoid a trip to the store. . The Dealer uses a 5w30 synthetic blend. In my oil inventory I had half a quart of 5w30 pure synthetic and a quart of 10-30 detergent that meets all specs. Would there be any problem in mixing in half a quart of the non synthetic with the synthetic to bring oil to up to fill mark?
Keep in mind I am not talking about making my own brand of oil but just adding a quart of reasonably mixed oil once in a while if out of mfg suggested oil.

No problem at all mixing blends. It's all compatable with one another. If your vehicle requires Dexos, then best to use Dexos oil. What oil or weight or brand name matters-not ..... especially when only topping off.

I'd throw the quart of 10w30 in it as it's getting warmer (not colder) outside. That should keep you full until it's time for your next change...

For only a half qt low,you can use any certified oil in the proper wt.Don't worry about the Dexos bee ss.
