Hi everybody.

It true that mixing low SAPS oils with conventinal engineoil.

I am asking because i.m currently running a low SAPS oil. But are planing to use conventional oil at the next change. And There will be about half a litre back in the engine after oildrain?

I wish you all a good weekend :-)

It depends.

What are the two oils? In what application?

If your engine requires a low saps oil (like many diesels today do) then stick with it, if not... it should be fine, barring some kind of unconventional low saps additive package.

It.s for a petrol engine. My consern was if the to types of oil might colide chemichly. And do damage to the engine.

The oil will mix fine. The biggest concern would be if your car is designed for low SAPS and you use regular oil, there is a good change of damage in the long term.
