So i came across 2 gallons of chevron's Delo 400LE HD 15w40 motor oil for free. Since i do not have a diesel to actually put this stuff to use , i was wondering if i would just be able to slowly mix this stuff into my regular batch of oil for my services. Just like adding half a quart with each service.Would this be ok? would there be any benefit? could i use this stuff in my lawnmower or pressure washer?

here is what i have to work with:
99 caravan , 97 camaro, 94 sentra. I usually just give them dino valvevoline except the camaro gets full synthetic. Any Positive input would be appreciated!

I wouldn't mix it with other oils but use in the engine with the most miles in the Summer. Probably the Sentra.

It wouldn't be bad for any of those cars in mild weather.

If it says SL or SM on the jug, it is a gas engine oil.

It might be a little thick for your climate as the main oil but its a great oil if you wanna start blending some in.

Buy some 10w in the same brand and blend accordingly to ambient temp. It takes very little of the 15w40 to make 10w (a 20 weight) into a 30 weight. Bias your adds as needed.

Huh?

That oil is SL rated minimum, maybe SM, use it on the car that runs the most miles in the summertime and change it out before it starts to cool off the end of August.
