I know this is not optimal but does anyone know of any problems which could be caused by mixing Amsoil Uni Syn ATF with Redline D4 ATF? One is considered more PAO based and the other more ester based and I am not sure if this fact would cause any problems. Thanks for any input.

Personally I wouldn't do it. I've never heard of anyone mixing those two fluids, but I'm sure someone has done it, although I don't know why they'd want to.
Are you trying to make a "super" fluid? That's the wrong approach if that's your goal.

It shouldn't cause any problems. What will happen if say you mix 50/50, you will thin out the ester base oil component.
They both have similar additive packs.
