Picked up one of these fluid evacuators today, mainly to make it easier to change oil on my boats outboard engine - it eliminates the need to pull the boat out of the water for oil changes.
I am really thinking this could also make oil changes on my car and van much easier, but the instructions for the Mityvac say the vehicle has to be on level ground, which means no ramp and I won't be able to get underneath to replace the filter.
Normally I change filter at every oil change (PureOne), but I am wondering if it would be safe to use a higher mileage oil filter (Fram Extended Guard?), and do two 6-7K miles oci's on one filter?
This way I could at least use the Mityvac on every other oil change.
Wish my vehicles had filters located on the front or at the top like some German brands.
