Kind of confusing but the Outlander and Outlander Sport are two totally different vehicles. Not sure if everyone realizes that or not. Good thing Honda doesn't do that with the Accord Sport.

they're like 2 body types on the same platform... identical mechanically and electronically as is the Lancer...

thanks for the replys I still havenot made up my mind since the last seven cars I have owned were hyundais and I never had any trouble with them except the regular maintance and a throttle control sensor.at seventy years old its hard to change.thanks again.
If you decide to jump ship early on this vehicle you'll take a bath with massive depreciation. There is limited desire(resale) in used market except maybe buy here/pay here lots for this brand. I overheard a Subaru dealer simply stating a 2013 Outlander in great condition would immediately get sent to auction and not worth the space on their tiny lot.

They've announced they're getting rid of their US manufacturing plant. They have not announced they are leaving the US market.

no 2016 Oulander sport.... the 2015.5 came out in september though, I went to to the model training...
The top one is what I have. The one you've labelled "Outlander Sport" is called the Mitsubishi ASX in Australia.
Yeah, that's an ASX, and the Challenger is now being called a Pajero Sport, haven't seen one yet.

The ASX is an RVR in Japan...we get those too. The 2.2 diesel has a 6 speed auto, the petrol is CVT.
Mitsubishi's sales have been stronger the past 2 years than the previous 5 years ...
I see a few every day... nice cars... if you need 3rd row very good choice...
Very good base price, bells and whistles add up quick. Never sat in one so can't comment on comfort. I was looking at base level sport... no interest in AWD at all... roof racks look useless...

The base level Sport is unique in that it's one of a very few small CUVs that has a manual transmission. That is the one I would get.
my wife and I use the santafe for travling from ny state to tennesse a couple times a year it holds a lot more stuff for the grandkids than the new sonata and I think I think the santafe is much more comfortable on long trips.thats why I was thinking of an outlander samewarrenty and I can get it in all wheel drive and a few bucks cheaper.we get a lot snow here.
