Missing anti drain back valve Fram extra guard

Was just looking around at Walmart and found an orange Fram missing the ADBV

What's the filter model number? Did you check others of the same model number too? Some filters don't have an ADBV.

Imo, title/conclusion misleading. Fram makes (at least) one application without an adbv. Has for a very long time, before FB ownership. It follows the same design as the OE factory filter which also has no adbv. It's been posted and discussed here several times before. It's the PH/TG 9837. Need to post the application # for more accurate conclusion on mystery topic filter. No particular fan of First Brands, but a fan of accurate information. Linked info on the PH9837 showing no adbv used.

Lots of filters mounted with the base up still have an ADBV. Still helps keep oil in the galleries above the filter.
