Hey guys I haqvent figured out how to post pics but as requested I checked the spark plugs and 3 and 4 have oil all over them from the tip to the mid section where the nut is to tighten then. Smells burnt. I know it is oil because it is dark brown and smells burnt and it covers the plugs from the tip all the way up the threads. #4 is really drenched and number #3 has oil too but not as bad. I do have a P0304 error code (misfire cylinder 4) and a P0304 Pending code which means it is on going and current. What does it mean when there is oil on the plugs? What does it mean when there is little oil on the plug versus a lot? What can I do to fix it or test it?
I have a constant misfire in cylinder 4. It cant be coolant because I use 50/50 mix and it is green, plus it is fresh because coolant was replaced two days ago.
Anyone who can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Also if it is oil on plugs etc and it is just a gasket, is it something I can fix myself or is it so complex that I NEED to pay a mechanic. Im pretty handy and follow directions well. Any and all tips are welcome. Thanks guys.

no heat for over 3 winters. Blows warm to ice cold within 2 minutes. Top half is a little warm and the lower half by the passenger feet area is ice cold always. Tried flushing heater core and reverse flushing with a garden hose but still nothing. new coolant and thermostat and still nothing. Can something as small as a heater control valve cause no heat? it is tiny and only $10. by the way I also replaced the heater vent door motors on both sides. On the passenger side I can hear the blower come on, start to blown when I switch to heat from cold air i hear the motors moving and then I hear a clamp like a door snapping back or shut. Is it possible there isnt enough vaccuum? Anyone know how to replace a heater control valve or where it is located on a caravan?

Sounds like the code is being generated from an oil fouled plug in cyl # 4. The plug could be so badly fouled it is not firing. Time to do a compression test as mentioned above. Google compression test, you will need the numbers with a dry compression test, then redo the test squirting oil in cylinders #3 and #4. It could be bad rings, valve guides, or something as simple as valve stem seals.

Search the proper procedure for doing the wet and dry compression test, then post the numbers here. Once we have numbers we can determine what is going on.

I strongly suggest getting a Shop Manual, or Chiltons, or Hayes manual, for your truck, and read up on it, or see if there is a Dodge Caravan forum. You might get answers a lot faster there and from people who deal with them on a daily basis.
