The main problem with Craigslist is that its free.

If they charged a small listing fee that would clear out a lot of the riff-raff but quick.

I have had very good luck with Craigslist, both buying and selling. You just have to be very selective on who you reply to.

Last time I tried to sell something on CL I got two indecipherable email replies and some dude offering me Tattoo work for my item (I was selling a computer part, and never indicated that I was open to trades for anything...much less tattoo work).

Last time I wasted time posting on CL lol. Instead I target industry specific forums with whatever I happen to be selling/buying.

Hi DishDude,

I have had some very reasonable decent people describe there listing very well. You just need to do a bit of "sifting through" as you say. Which can be frustrating (frustrating for me, at least).

good point.

Reminds me that the owner of the forum i mod once suggested a small registration fee for that exact same reason.

It looks much more like a "3 door coupe" than a hatch. And i am, btw, a member of Fourth Generation Hatch, Honda tech, D-Series and another honda civic forum.

(please excuse me venting again. one day i'll look back at this and laugh

Met an interesting person at a garage sale once. Your mention of the snowblower reminded me of this. The man had an old snowblower for sale for $30. He told me how he had changed the oil and replaced some other parts, etc. I told him that I liked the snowblower but I had two problems. I explained that I only had $25 cash and it would not fit in my car. I told him that I would buy it if he would take $25 for it and he would deliver it to my house a few blocks away. He thought it over for a minute and said, "How about $25 for the snowblower, and another $5 to deliver it?" I responded that I only had $25 on me. He asked me if he could think about my offer for a minute and then came back with this...... " How about $20 for the snowblower and $5 for delivery?" Deal!
