Mini Cooper S - 2006 R53 Power Steering Fluid?

So I am reading that the only fluid which is suggested for the subject vehicle is this:

Any other suggestions? I am cheap and this has kind of become a beater/daily driver with other issues.

If you think I am cheap, I'd love to hear what you think about the previous owner who left the fluid low because they were even cheaper!

11S or 202 they are interchangeable and mixable. Don't go cheap on this or you will find out what real $$$ pain feels like in the form of a rack and pump, not kidding.

No substitute. CHF11S. It's a 15y.o. BMW, I don't think you could ever consider the word "cheap".

Stick with the 11s. You have electrohydraulic power steering on that Mini and those systems are kinda delicate.

And I think BMW recalled those to fix a potential fire hazard with the power steering system. IIRC, there's also an auxillary cooler and a switched fan on those.

Pentosin sells a cheaper version called EHF. Autozone has it for $12.99

Autozone has Febi M6162 for $10 for a 32 oz bottle

Walmart has Prestone European for $7 a 12 oz bottle

Awesome, I was reading on another thread here that Redline C+ is also a good option. I started another thread about what to do with my leftover C+.

I'll definitely go with those options though if that's not cool.

You shouldn't use ATF anywhere that requires the CHF stuff
